Discussion 3_History of the United States

Q For our second discussion forum, I want you to focus on the experience of Europeans arriving to colonize the Americas, specifically the English settlers at Jamestown. Using what you learned from the textbook in general and the primary documents specifically, what were the challenges faced by the colonists? What was valued as part of the colonial effort (who was sent to Jamestown -- and who wasn't!). What were the objectives of early settlements like Jamestown? What do you think is missing in the sources that would help you to better understand English worldview and the experience of Jamestown colonists?
